I think we all need a little reminder of this sometimes..!! As a parent, we can really get bogged down in all the day to day madness, especially at this time of year..!! My calm down tactic of late is to kick my shoes off, stand on a cool patch of grass in the shade and just stop for a few minutes.. TEETHING BABIES 👶🏻👶🏻 I have had so many emails at the moment in regards to managing sleep and teething 😴😴😴😬😬😬 Let’s be honest, it’s tough going and those little toothy pegs like to move at night when growth and development are at its peak... My top tips for managing teething and Sleep are: 💫 Numb those gums before bed, whether it’s a cold wet washer, teething remedy or gel etc... If your little one is teething by day, they’ll certainly be teething at night! 💫 If your little one has a dummy, keep them in the fridge! 💫 Invest in some great tethers, such as this one pictured by @indera.beads 💫 Try and keep your sleep routine as normal as possible - Although a few extra cuddles are perfectly fine to help keep baby calm and supported 💫 Lastly, if your baby’s sleep goes haywire for a few days try and get back to your routine once symptoms subside - Any major changes to your baby’s sleep while teething will take a few days to get back on trac

Nursery/ Toddler Room setup... In the past few weeks during consults I have noticed many cots and bassinets placed underneath windows... It’s a tricky area in a nursery as the temp varies from very hot to very cold throughout the AM & PM which can help promote wakes as baby will find it difficult to regulate body temp with all the variations... If you’re worried about heat & airflow given our current season I suggest placing the bassinet or cot on a wall adjacent to the window - It won’t be too hot or too cold and baby will still be getting adequate airflow... Anyone else negotiating food choices this morning??? Sometimes offering a mezze plate style breakfast can help your fussy eater with choice and less pressure to eat a complete meal... Changing things up.. 💕 Lets face it, as adults we get bored with routines being so... Routine..!! But our kids??? LOVE routine, it helps them to answer all the who, what, where, why and how questions (esp toddlers!) and provides the predictability and comfort of what’s happening next.. If you are bored with the same old bathtime, why not have a sink bath? Have an outdoor shower? Bath in a bucket?
